Hello! I am Elizabeth Bernhardt, an experienced educator of 18 years. I am also a Homeschool Mom! My passion is helping students to find confidence in learning by tailoring to their individual learning styles and making learning fun and meaningful.
I obtained my Undergraduate Degree in Child Development and my California Teaching Credential through CSU Monterey Bay, and my Masters in Mathematics at Western Governor’s University.
I have been running my tutoring business since 2019, after becoming a first time mom, and wanting to stay home with my son. My previous experiences in education have been leading a school as an Admin/Instructional Coordinator at a charter school, a Director of Education at a tutoring center, coaching teachers, and teaching in public education.
As a diplomatic child, I lived overseas with my family in Guatemala, Curacao, Dominican Republic, and Italy. I grew up bilingual learning English and Spanish. When I was 10, my family moved to the U.S. and we lived in Virginia. I moved to California in High School and fell in love with it! I met my husband in College and now have a wonderful family: my husband, son, and two fur baby cats.
My interests are teaching (of course), traveling, puzzles, cats, tennis, tea parties, reading, going to the beach, and always learning new things!
